Welcome to my personal soapbox. I call it Waxing Politic. I'm excited by what's happening in politics during this election cycle. I support Barack Obama for president of the United States and I've decided to write about it.
UPDATE (May 2012):
One of the reasons I started this blog back in February of 2008 is to have a written record of the fact that six months earlier I had predicted that Barack Obama would be the next President of the United States. To my bewilderment, everyone I talked to at the time thought I was crazy to be so certain, especially since the campaigns for the nominations had barely started. It made me think that perhaps after the fact, no one would believe that I had made the prediction.
Now, four years and three months later, I'm prepared to make another prediction. I'm am predicting that President Barack Obama with be re-elected to another term as President of the United States.
Lately I've been caught up in the winds of American politics like never before. Ever since the 2008 state primaries and caucuses got underway, I've been glued to the news channels daily, and for hours on end. It's as if everyday is Super Bowl Sunday.
I now get the evil eye from members of my household every time I pick up the remote control. They're suffering from politics overload, while I can't seem to get enough of the stuff. No one at home wants to hear anything I have to say about Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John McCain. That's why I'm here. I get to say whatever I want to say. If no one is listening, that's fine too.
